The Embodiment of a Cherokee Warrior

Tall in stature,
brave of heart.
A Cherokee warrior
stands apart.

Honor driven,
proud in name.
Always mindful
from whence he came.

Gentle spirit,
silent strength.
Dance of friendship
gliding feet.

Cherished woman,
love of child.
Respect to land
and all things wild.

To die in battle
is not defeat.
As iron wills
defend beliefs.

Tall in stature,
brave of heart.
This Cherokee warrior
stands apart.
The Embodiment of a Cherokee Warrior
The title of my poem, Embodiment of a Cherokee
Warrior was inspired from my friend, Paula Davis'
story, "Keepin' Christmas." **

"Keepin' Christmas" also inspired another friend,
Inahlee, to create this amazing drawing of Ed Ames
as Mingo, performing the Friends Made dance.

**You can find "Keepin' Christmas" on my
Daniel Boone Fan Fiction Page.
